Programming Updates and Reminders

All City Band Camp Happening Now!

Experience what it is like to be in an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities)-style showband for FREE this summer with All City Band Camp! Campers will have the chance to join the marching band, drumline, or Majorette dancers and perform what they’ve learned for their friends and family. No prior experience is needed. Breakfast, lunch, instruments, and transportation will be provided. Camp is open to students grades 5-12 and will take place at Edison High School Monday-Friday July 10-21 from 9am-2pm. Join us for summer music classes at Webber Library!

Drop in this summer to sing or play drums with Hopewell Music! We’re hosting bucket drumming on Tuesdays and choir on Thursdays at Webber Library from 3-4pm every week this whole summer. No experience necessary and all materials will be provided.

Crazy Ideas Institute Scholarships

Are you a girl, nonbinary, gender-fluid, or trans youth with lots of musical ideas to bring to life? Good news! Our friends at the Composer’s Institute are hosting their annual Crazy Ideas Institute again this summer! Campers will have the chance to test the bounds of their creativity to make their own musical pieces using all types of sound. Camp this year will be held at Plymouth Church (1900 Nicollet Ave S) Monday-Friday August 28-September 1 from 8am-12pm. This summer camp is open to girls, nonbinary, gender-fluid, and trans youth ages 9-14. No prior experience is needed! Scholarships are available to this amazing camp through the Minnesota Offices of Higher Education for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch at school on a first-come-first-serve basis.
